Coconut Point Fire Station
Designed and completed in 2005, this district fire station was developed in a South Florida/High-Mediterranean style established to set the tone for the first building located within the new Coconut Point development. Interior spaces accommodate the functional uses of a self-sufficient fire station including 2 Apparatus/Fire Equipment Bays, a full Kitchen with Dining Room, a Day Room, a common Bunk Room/Sleeping Quarters for the fire fighters, a Weight Training Room, and various administrative and support facilities. The building consists primarily of painted stucco on perimeter load-bearing masonry supporting pre-engineered roof trusses and a barrel tile roof with decorative trim and fine detailed appointments as required within a newly planned up-scale development.
