Designed and completed in 2005, this district fire station was developed in a South Florida/High-Mediterranean style established to set the tone for the first building located within the new Coconut Point development. Interior spaces accommodate the functional uses of a self-sufficient fire station including 2 Apparatus/Fire Equipment Bays, a full Kitchen with Dining Room, a Day Room, a common Bunk Room/Sleeping Quarters for the fire fighters, a Weight Training Room, and various administrative and support facilities. The building consists primarily of painted stucco on perimeter load-bearing masonry supporting pre-engineered roof trusses and a barrel tile roof with decorative trim and fine detailed appointments as required within a newly planned up-scale development.

Completed in 2007 this was our third project with the Golden Gate Fire District and included two buildings situated together in a “campus-like” setting on a single site. The Fire Station houses 3 Apparatus/Vehicle Bays, 12 Individual Bunk Rooms, a common Kitchen/Dining Room and Day Room and various support facilities. The Administration building houses all District offices and has Conference and Training Rooms and a large Operations Command Center. The design mixes both contemporary and traditional materials (including brick and “Stucco”) on perimeter load-bearing masonry supporting steel bar joists and a distinctive curved roof with metal panels on “Bow-String” steel trusses for a durable, low-maintenance facility while establishing a timeless image of strength and traditional stability for the District.

Completed in 1990, this 16,000 square foot 2-story addition provided new Christian Education Classrooms and Meeting Rooms, a Library, a Choral Rehearsal Room with music and robe storage, a Parlour, and new Administrative Offices and Support Facilities. This new addition pays reverence to the existing buildings through the use of expressed arches and arcades encircling a cloistered court in front of the existing Sanctuary. The court effectively creates a centrally active space inviting fellowship and participation in prelude to worship.
