Stevens Construction, Inc. recently started construction on the Gorovoy Cornea Laser Center in Fort Myers. It is scheduled for completion in the fall.

Located at 12453 South Cleveland Avenue, the facility will include the addition of a 4,600sf ambulatory surgery center to an existing two-story facility. When completed, the center will encompass 10,580sf and include two operating rooms, recovery rooms, step-down recovery rooms, consultation areas, a patient lounge and administrative offices.

When completed, the Gorovoy Cornea Laser Center will be an Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA) licensed facility, which ensures regulatory compliance for healthcare facilities throughout Florida.

Dr. Michael S. Collins has awarded Stevens Construction, Inc., the contract to build the 10,440sf Vision Center at 6900 International Blvd. in Fort Myers.

Designed by Christopher J. Lee Architects, Inc., the medical office will feature eight exam rooms, a procedure room, two orbital scan rooms, lobby, reception area, staff lounge, an eyewear retail area and administrative offices. Construction is scheduled to begin this spring, with the completion before the end of the year.

Also poised to commence is Stevens Construction’s renovation of the Cape Coral First United Methodist Church at 4118 Coronado Parkway.

Construction of the activity center will include the remodel and addition of the 6,920sf activity center to total a 13,377sf, two-story building upon completion. The enhanced children’s ministry will include a preschool, multi-purpose room, classrooms, kitchen and associated services.
