The existing Mid-Rise Buildings were designed in a “Modern” Architectural style which relied upon straight-forward simplicity and inarticulate, non-ornamental design features which present a challenge when adding a new and exciting design element to. Our desire was to introduce new inspiring features that were not merely functional, but created an invitation for residents to participate in and enjoy the Southwest Florida outdoors without being exposed to the harshness it can bring. Additionally, we were sensitive to not introduce a new design element which would appear foreign or un-complementary to the existing buildings.

The Fire Station houses 3 Apparatus/Vehicle Bays, 12 Individual Bunk Rooms, a common Kitchen/Dining Room and Day Room and various support facilities. The Administration building houses all District offices and has Conference and Training Rooms and a large Operations Command Center.
